Helping Hands is a service provider recognised under the Helping Children with Autism Package. Eligible children (0 to 7 years) can receive $6,000 per financial year of government funding (with a maximum of $12,000) to use on early intervention services. We are FaHCSIA and Better Start approved for all services we provide. Medicare rebates can be used for psychologists, speech therapists etc, it cannot however be used for ABA therapy.
However, FaHCSIA and Better Start are being phased out as NDIS is being rolled out nation wide. At Helping Hands we are able to help families access funding for behavioural interevention by providing relevant assements, preparing reports detailing gains and objectives of your child’s current ABA therapy and outlining goals and objectives
Families can visit the Autism Awareness website, Amaze, or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for further information.
