Our Directors

Simone Anderson and Sarah Backholer opened the Helping Hands Centre in 2009. Since then the demand for the services offered at the centre has grown. Children with an ASD are supported through ABA programs, behaviour management, life skills and social and play programs. Simone has worked as a case manager/therapist for eleven years and trained in Victoria under the supervision of Pam Langford from ASOPS. Sarah also was supervised by Pam Langford and has worked as a case manager/therapist for 9 years. Both directors have worked in a variety of schools and kindergartens implementing ABA principles, teaching and encouraging social interaction and providing behavioural strategies to teachers and aides. Additionally they have created and constructed modified VELS curriculums for ASD clients in Primary and Secondary Schools. Simone and Sarah are committed to providing the help families need and are passionate about delivering a high quality service to benefit the wonderful children they care about.
