The incidence of ASD can vary depending on the text you read. However according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics it has reported an enormous growth in the number of people with autism with data collected in 2009 and again in 2012. In 2012 it was observed that at least 1 in 63 Australian school children had a formal autism diagnosis. In June 2015 the NDIS Quarterly Report indicated 31% of NDIS participants are on the spectrum.
